Cele mai noi rapoarte spun ca Apple a obtinut o injunctie preliminara care acopera intreaga Uniune Europeana (cu exceptia Olandei) si care presupune sistarea distributiei tabletei electronice Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Vestea grea pentru Samsung vine la o saptamana dupa ce acestia au fost obligati sa sisteze distributia produsului in Australia.Decizia favorabila pentru Apple a fost luata de Curtea Regionala din Dusseldorf, Germania, si este in vigoare pana la solutionarea procesului Apple vs. Samsung. Apple a dat in judecata Samsung pentru copierea mai multor componente folosite in productia iPad 2. Samsung nu poate face apel decat peste o luna, in speranta de a-si repune in vanzare tableta in Uniunea Europeana.
Legat de intregul proces, reprezentantii legali ai Samsung au declarat:
“Samsung believes that there is no legal basis for this assertion. We will continue to serve our customers and distributors and the sale of Samsung products will be continued.”
Iar Apple a explicat:
“It’s no coincidence that Samsung’s latest products look a lot like the iPhone and iPad, from the shape of the hardware to the user interface and even the packaging. This kind of blatant copying is wrong, and we need to protect Apple’s intellectual property when companies steal our ideas.”
